A: Dies are metal blades bent into shapes and mounted on boards which are used for cutting different materials.

Q: What types of materials can be cut using a die?
A: Almost any type of material can be cut using a cutting die. In fact, most materials are cut using a cutting die; such as carpet, foam, chipboard, plastic, etc...

A: Cutting dies are used in many industries. Dalton is known as the "carpet capital of the world". So, our most popular industry in the area happens to be carpet.

Q: How much does it cost for a die?
A: Since every die is different in shape, size, quantity, etc, the price varies. The price also depends on knife height and point size. You can submit your artwork to us for a price quote by visiting our FTP File Transfer page or by emailing your files to rsrdco@optilink.us

Q: What knife height should I use?
A: Since material thickness and density changes, different knife heights and point sizes are called for. We are glad to assist you in choosing knife heights and thicknesses.

Q: Can you assist me with a prototype and / or samples?
A: Yes. Our team of qualified personnel can take your ideas from paper to production. We can help you with design and layout as well as cut samples on our Gerber Profile before going ahead with the die making. This will save you a lot of time and money!
